Sheffield’s Grosvenor G Casino is situated to the south of the city centre and is a 24 hour casino with a good mix of games in a medium-sized purpose built venue. It is a great way to start or end a night and is just a short walk from the heart of the action in this South Yorkshire city.
The casino is located about a mile from the very heart of Sheffield and so is about a 20 minute stroll or a short taxi ride away. From the train station you can head south down the main road and be at the casino in 15 minutes on foot whilst Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Doncaster airports are all decent options for those flying into the Steel City. If you are driving then free parking is available (provided you register your number plate with the casino staff) and you should aim for Duchess Road, just off the A61. If you choose to spend the night in Sheffield then any city centre hotel is fine, with the Novotel or Hilton the pick, whilst the Jurys and Copthorne are located on the right side of town.
The casino offers a good range of games and as with many outlets these days there is an increasing focus on poker and Texas Hold‘em in particular. There is a poker room that hosts regular tournaments – check with the casino for the latest details – as well as cash games every day with varying blinds.
